Movement
_Movement is the way you transport something from one place to another place. You can move ideas, people, and goods. Ideas can be moved by cellphones, pagers, e-mail, letters, etc. Some ways people move are planes, cars, and boats, but there are obviously many more. Goods are most times move by cargo ship and airplanes. The ways things move are different in every country, especially people.
In Vietnam, ideas are moved, like any other place, by phones, the internet, and mail. People in Vietnam usually move by bikes, cyclo taxis (three wheeled bikes with a seat in front to carry the passenger), boats, and trains, buses, and airplanes for long distances. Cars are not very popular, because of the convenient, nearby places. Also, waterways such as rivers and lakes, make boats popular ways for traveling, especially during monsoon season when Vietnam starts flooding. Goods are moved the same way we move goods in the United States, by cargo boats, trains, and airplanes. In most locations around the world, the way people move is the most unique.
A cultural norm for transportation in Vietnam is using bikes, because they are small and easy to use in convenient areas. Another reason why Vietnam doesn't have many cars is because this country is Agrarian. Agrarian means that most people in this country farm instead of working in factories which would give them more cars. Boats are popular in Vietnam especially during monsoon season. During monsoon season rain pours for many days flooding the area and creates a warm climate. Monsoons take place during April through September for the southwest monsoon and October through late March or early April in the northeast. You can't drive a car through flooded streets, and they waste space especially in big, crowded cities such as Ho Chi Minh City. People in Vietnam have a different lifestyle, because of their climate, surroundings, and access.
