_Five Themes of Geography
The five themes of geography describe characteristics of a certain area of land. Using location, place, human environment interaction, movement, and region, which are the five themes of geography, you can give someone a clear picture of what this area's characteristics and life style are like. Locations can be absolute, like coordinates on a map, or relative, which refers to things surrounding it. Places can be human, which is man made, or physical, which is natural. Human environment interaction is what the people of this place do to adapt, what they depend on, and what they modify to help their environment. Movement happens all around the world and the ways, ideas, goods, and people move are different in every country. There are political and physical regions that divide an area of land into different sections; political region are states, provinces, cites, and capitals, but physical regions are like mountain ranges and rivers. The five themes describe the an area of land in these ways.
Cultural Norms
Cultural norms are behaviors of a place that might not be for another. For example food, clothing, hobbies, and activities are different in many locations. All countries have different ways of doing things. Some people in different countries may wear lots of jewels, eat with their hands, or go fishing every day, but that's their cultural norm. Their area of land has different ways of life because of their environment, people, and history. Cultural norms are what make people unique all around the world.
Vietnam
Vietnam has a unique culture with a very diverse lifestyle compared to the way we are in the United States. Their way of life may be weird to you, but their lifestyle is what makes them special. This country is similar to many countries in Asia, but has many differences, too. Vietnam used to be divided into two parts, north and south; now the country is one part with many smaller different regions and lifestyles. Like most countries they have a unique way of life that shows you their culture.
